Position Overview:
Location: Billings, Montana (required)
Experience: 0-5 years
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and endlessly curious engineer to join our team. This position is perfect for recent graduates looking to gain practical experience and work towards obtaining their Professional Engineer (PE) license. You will support various engineering projects, providing technical assistance and contributing to the successful completion of transformational projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering projects across multiple sectors, including municipal, government, water resources, land development, and energy.
- Design: Develop insightful designs and plans with thorough specifications to communicate design intent accurately, aiming for a conflict-free bid period and on-time construction with minimal change orders.
- Communication: Effectively communicate in written and verbal forms to support team members, project managers, company leadership, and external construction teams.
- Material Creation: Assist in creating reports, memos, project proposals, specifications, plan sets, permit applications, and bid packages.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
- Learning and Development: Engage in continuous learning opportunities, attend training sessions, and gain interesting, exciting hands-on experience.
- Time Management: Prioritize, schedule, and allocate the necessary time to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D preferred
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Engineering degree (minimum requirement)
• 0-5 years of experience in civil engineering design and construction administration
• Experience in at least one of the following disciplines: land development, municipal utility design, water resource engineering, or environmental engineering
• Demonstrated integrity, selflessness, and dependability
• Familiarity with federal and state funding and regulatory agencies (preferred but not mandatory)
• Familiar with job-costing, scheduling, and estimating
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, and other software for communication, design, and documentation
