Highline Lift Station Rehabilitation
Water Resources
Summary:
Montana’s Huntley Project is a hub for agriculture, with over 30,000 acres of land dedicated to farming and ranching. The lift station plays a crucial role in pumping water from the Yellowstone River to irrigate the area, but with pumps dating to the 1910s, it was in dire need of rehabilitation. The key design goal for this project was to ensure the lift station will be fully serviceable for the next 100 years, supporting future generations of irrigators in the valley.
Performance Engineering’s scope of work for the Highline Lift Station Rehabilitation Project was broad, but the team tackled each aspect with precision and care.
- The existing building was demolished and replaced with a new build
- The pumps were removed and reconditioned
- The building foundation was salvaged and stabilized using a helical pier system
- The site was re-graded to accommodate access and drainage
- New thrust blocks were installed on the discharge pipes from the lift station
